Berb controls the stage through strategic placement of Rift Points, to which he can teleport himself or the opponent to with 214P or 214K. With his ability to manipulate time and reposition on a whim, Berd can excellently control the flow of the match (quite literally) to his favor.

Unique Mechanics

Rifts in Time

Berb can use specific attacks (such as 214P or 2141236P) to create Rift Points that last until consumed or destroyed. Berd can use these Rift Points to teleport himself using 214K or to juggle the opponent by teleporting them with 236S. If Berd tries to create a Rift Point when there are already three active, or if he is hit while a Rift is active, the oldest Rift will be destroyed.

Time Machine

With his supers Chrono Stasis and Accent Acceleration (and even his taunt to a degree), Berb can manipulate time to lock down or pressure the opponent. Combined with his incredible agility and his full-screen super, his time manipulation makes for a truly unique and threatening ability.

Gears pop out of Berb's robotic arm as he performs a large downward swing that hits overhead. Plays a large gong sound on hit, sending the opponent into stagger, or Guard Crush on block.

A powerful move that freezes time, locking the opponent in place. Although it has slow startup, it hits anywhere on the screen and cannot be evaded using invulnerability frames. The opponent is frozen for 2 seconds, allowing Berb an opportunity to set up a high-power combo. If the opponent was hit while frozen, they will be launched when time unfreezes.

Berd jumps backwards and suddenly appears far forwards. If Berd crosses through the opponent, they are hit and a Rift Point is created in their place (if there are not already 3 points active)
